This curiously-named viewpoint about 10km from Coonoor town is popular with locals and tourists alike. On a good day, you can gaze down the valley at the city. Lamb’s Rock, further along the road, is a pretty spot for a picnic with unparalleled views of tea and coffee plantations.

Dolphin’s Nose

A short drive from town, these falls cascade down the Nilgiri Mountains and are a beautiful sight during the rains. The last 3 km must be traversed on foot and it is a picturesque sight as the trail meanders through pretty tea estates.

Catherine Falls

This mosque was built in 624 AD in the traditional Kerala style. Most intriguing is the fact that the architecture is akin to that of a temple. The trademark dome that graces the top of other Indian mosques is absent. Instead, this structure has a tiled roof similar to Indian temples.
